Affordable Care Act Poster

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), commonly referred to as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and nicknamed ObamaCare, was signed into law in March 2010. Many of the ACA’s provisions that became effective beginning 2014 are designed to provide affordable, quality health insurance. Employers subject to the Fair Standards Labor Act (FSLA) must inform employees of their health care options.

Beginning October 1, 2013, an applicable employer (with $500,000 or more in annual revenue, and who employs one or more employees) must provide each new employee, including part-time employees, at the time of hire (or with respect to current employees, no later than October 1, 2013), a written notice of coverage options which includes:
